Privacy
We keep what we collect minimal, consent-gated, and pseudonymous. This page explains the analytics we run on microfilm.dev and the external processors that touch that data.

In plain language
We use PostHog to understand how people use microfilm.dev — which pages and steps convert, and to run product experiments. PostHog only runs after you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner. If you decline, no analytics events are sent.
We send PostHog pseudonymous identifiers (a random user / organization ID) and event metadata — the page or step you reached, referrer, and campaign (UTM) parameters. We do not send your name, email, or other directly identifying information in analytics events, and we do not use session recording or capture what you type. Analytics data is hosted in the European Union.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via the cookie settings, which stops further analytics collection.
Sub-processors
These are the external services that process analytics data on our behalf. Each is bound to the purpose, data, and legal basis listed below.
| Sub-processor | Purpose | Data processed | Location | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PostHog PostHog, Inc. — EU Cloud (eu.posthog.com) | Product analytics: conversion / funnel events, feature flags, A/B experiments. | Pseudonymous user / organization identifiers; event metadata (page or step, referrer, UTM); approximate region. No directly identifying PII in event properties. No session replay, no input or autocapture. | European Union (EU Cloud) | Consent — GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), via the cookie-consent banner. |
We update this list before a new sub-processor begins handling your data.
